Measurements taken across the front of the garment while lying flat. Bust taken under the arms, waist is across where the bodice meets the first tier. This is a smock style dress so the waist is higher than your natural waist. The measurements are taken when the garment is unstretched but because it is shirred, it offers stretch through the bodice.
